WRPM student helps with Flint Water Study

Maggie Carolan, sophomore in the Water: Resources, Policy and Management program, spent her spring break helping with the Flint Water Study. Read her story below.

#MeetAHokie: "This is giving me a lot of really good field sampling skills and knowledge. There's a certain aptitude to being able to go out and take samples – it definitely takes a lot of organization and being able to plan strategically. For me, I've just learned how to approach problems in a different way because of this experience. It's something that's been kind of creeping up on me throughout the whole Flint Water Study over the past few months, but now that I'm actually here and participating and field sampling and helping coordinate the lead kit delivery and that sampling effort, it's just transformative. It really gives you a way to approach problems." >> Maggie Carolan, sophomore @vtcnre student and #VTFlintWater member. Visit vt.edu/flintwater for more from the team's work this week in Flint.
